An impressive vintage Gothic architectural cherub sculpture originally designed as a hanging wall ornament for a Garden, courtyard , conservatory or architectural niche. Cast in heavy plaster & cement, it retains it original iron hanging rod that is embedded in the thick plaster. Visible age related repairs & surface wear speak to its history and lend to its romantic character. It probably started as a white plaster and then over time was painted in a dark gold then in a black matte. Remnants of each color remain and have an aged patina.
