We have a beautiful late-Victorian American Oak work / library table. The lower slatted shelf has a spindle gallery (added for utility) that would hold book/ledgers, sewing baskets, sheet music, etc. It has turned legs with chamfered feet. There are no splits to the wood or repairs.
