Authentic mid-century American flag manufactured by Annin & Co., America’s oldest flag maker. It is known as the Annin ”Defiance” Cotton Bunting Flag. Constructed of heavy weight cotton bunting and sewn stripes, embroidered stars and original maker’s label, displays beautiful age patina & rich faded colors acquired through decades of use and storage. The 48-star configuration represents the United States between 1912 - 1959, prior to Alaska & Hawaii joining the Union. A classic piece of Americana representing the United States during WWII and the postwar era.
