About Keith Namatjira
Born in 1938, Australian Aboriginal artist Keith Namatjira was the fourth son of Albert Namatjira. he painted in the familiar style of the Hermannsburg School artists and his work is represented in the Art Gallery of South Australia
The total number of works by Keith Namatjira offered for sale by auction since 1979 is 300, of which 243 (81%) were sold. The highest price recorded for the artist is $5,110 for Ghost Gums sold by Geoff K. Gray in November 1984. This year two works have been offered for sale. Works by Keith Namatjira are held by the National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of South Australia and a further two major public national galleries
