Wilardy Little Black Lucite Purse w/Attached Compact Top

This is a beautiful example of the Lucite purses made in the late 1950s by Wilardy. It is very unique in that the ladies makeup compact is integrated into the top of the handbag! The compact top includes the original powder screen & powder puff and a small removable sewn pouch that was used to hold coins or small mirror. It has a mirrored metal flap that folds down, The area above the powder holder, that is sectioned by the metal mirror,  was used to hold a writing pad or cigarettes, It does have an area to place the lipstick tube but the original lipstick tube is missing. The Lucite top of the compact does have some light scratches. The only other imperfection is on the front flap of the purse - there is a chip about the size of a nickel missing from the corner. If the handles are in the upright position it does not show. It was probably caused by the handle moving to the upright position, It does not have any feet; there are no other cracks or smell to the purse.
