This is beautiful Victorian carved wood prayer chair / kneeler /prie dieu has it's original silk velvet fabric with brass tacks. It also has a small brass side hook for a rosary or prayer beads and a small interior shelf for a prayer book or small Bible. There is some wear in the fabric (from kneeling). The cushion springs were retied and new webbing & dust cloth were added for stability to the kneeling cushion.
