Historic Work Table Cart from 20th Century Fox Prop Department
Historic Work Table from 20th Century Fox Prop Department
This is an amazing historic, one of a kind rolling work table cart with two fascinating stories. First used at 20th Century Fox Studios in the Prop and Design Department. Then it started its second life in the 1970s at Oceanic Arts as LeRoy Schmaltz's personal workbench. He is known as the "Godfather of Tiki". He is recognized for his handcrafted Polynesian and Tiki designs that embellished Disney World's Polynesian Village Resort Hotel, hundreds of Don the Beachcomber restaurants and many Polynesian-themed décor architectural spaces across the country. Here's the opportunity to take home a piece of Hollywood and Tiki history!
The workbench is very heavy but rolls easily on 4 metal industrial wheels. There are multiple drawers and storage cubbies.
